Auryx attacked Akka and slew him, then communed with the Deep himself. Akka and Auryx spoke of the power of the Deep, and since their power was gifted, and not taken, it was not true to the Deep. Īuryx, the King of the Hive, seeking to gain the power to feed his worm, traveled the Ascendant Realm in search of Akka. When the war freed the Worm Gods from Fundament's core, they responded by opening a wormhole into geostationary orbit, allowing the Hive to invade Fundament's moons and the Ammonite civilization that dwelled there. The Worm Gods oversaw the Hive's conquest of Fundament, providing knowledge, orders, and censure to their leaders as necessary. Check out our guide on getting our beloved Cayde's famous weapon here.Billions of years ago, Akka and the other Worm Gods were trapped deep beneath Fundament and guarded by the Leviathan. Luckily, it seems that if you lack the chops to get the quadrakill, your teammate can do it for you.Īfter all is said and done, you'll finally get your hands on Malfeasance, congraulations! If you're still lacking the game's other Exotic Hand Cannon, Ace of Spades (and lied about knowing what we were talking about during "Light's Out".) then you definitely need to get your hands on it. You'll also be tasked with "acing" the enemy's team, or killing all four members in succession. Remember how much fun the Ace of Spades quest was, especially when you got to the part of killing Invaders with a Hand Cannon? Well, now you get to do the opposite - kill Guardians as the Invader. Oh, and you'll have to win matches too, so bring some friends (who have Sleeper Simulants as well.) If you're going to play, be smart and cash out early to avoid losing progress. Similar to the Chaperone quest, dying with motes drastically decreases your progress bar.

Now, you'll have to head back to Gambit mode to win matches and deposit motes. To gain the Ascendant buff, you'll need to complete Petra's Ascendant challenge within the Dreaming City. Good luck though - this exclusive mission is Power Level 580, meaning you'll need to have a Power Level of at least 531 to even deal damage to the enemies within. Next, you'll have to complete the mission variant of "The Corrupted" strike while Ascended. Just kill those big scaries to your heart's content. Strikes, bounties, or public events will satisfy the requirements here. Next, you'll have to defeat 25 Taken bosses (Ultras) or Minibosses within the Dreaming City. You'll then be tasked with finding clues about a thief within the Dreaming City. Eventually, the stars and planets will align and your metal friend will drop the questline, "The Seething Heart." The quest isn't 100 percent guaranteed to drop even if the boss spawns, so if you get unlucky, you'll have to requeue.Īfter clearing Gambit 450,000 times and finally getting the quest to drop, you'll be prompted to speak with The Drifter. Mosey on over to Gambit mode and play some games (hope you brought your Sleeper Simulant!) Eventually, you'll encounter the Ascendant Prime Servitor, a giant Taken Servitor. How do you get started on this quest? Glad you asked, here's how: One of those begins in Gambit - and ends in Malfeasance, an Exotic Hand Cannon that's well worth the effort. In Destiny 2: Forsaken, Bungie has rewarded us with a number of interesting Exotic quests.
